COMMUNICATION: Seven words of communication that will help you in your writing.  Do you know what they all mean?  And how they relate to each other?

    1. Narrate
    2.
Describe
    3.
Explain
    4.
Request
    5.
Demand
    6.
Observe
    7.
Complaint
How many of them did you know?

Narrate means you are telling a story.  The plot is what matters to the Narrator.
Describe means you are painting a picture in words so that the reader can share the experience that is coming to you through your senses.

Explain means you are trying to make your reader understand something and that something could be an object or it could be an idea.
Request means you are asking for something.  Normally you are requesting action from your characters.

Demand, again, you want something, but this time you are being strong about it and feel that you have the power or the right to make your characters give you what you want.

Observe means you have noticed something and you mention it to your readers.

Complaint means your characters have a grievance and you want the reader to know how upset they feel about it.
