Narrate means you are telling a story. The plot is what matters to the Narrator.
Describe means you are painting a picture in words so the reader can share the experience coming to you through your senses.
Explain means you are trying to make your reader understand something and that something could be an object or an idea.
Request means you are asking for something. Normally, you are requesting action from your characters.
Demand, again, you want something, but this time, you are being assertive about it and feel that you have the power or the right to make your characters give you what you want.
Observe means you have noticed something in your characters and you mention it to your readers.
Complaint means your characters have a grievance (problems) and you want the reader to know how upset they feel about it.
