The closet door was not quiet shut.  Cathy peeps at it over the top of her blanket.  It was a warm night, and her bedroom window was open, the curtains moving restlessley and throwing shadows over the polished wooden floor. Something creaked, Cathy stopped breatheing.  She could here her heart thumping.  The closet door started to open and a blue furry arm swinged round the edge.  She screamed.  From under her blanket she heard her bedroom door burst open and realized the light was on.
“For goodness sake!” her mom was saying. “I ca’nt take you to the movies again if this is what it does to you.”
“But…but… there’s a Blue Monster in my closet.” Cathy whispered. “No, silly,” her mother laughed.  “Its only your robe.  I hung it up because I got tired of triping over it on the floor.
